09/12/2016: Assailants and suicide bombers equipped with explosives-laden vehicles attacked police forces in Barari, Nineveh, Iraq. At least 100 assailants were killed and an unknown number of assailants were injured as security forces repelled the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
