09/25/2016: Assailants opened fire on a soldier and his cousin in Timbuktu, Mali. Both were killed and a child was injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however sources suspected that Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) was responsible for the attack.
