11/09/2016: Assailants executed 20 people, including former security force members, by firing squad at the Ghabat military base in Mosul, Nineveh, Iraq. The bodies of the victims were hanged at intersections throughout the city. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), noting the victims were accused of working with security forces.
