Incident Summary:

12/17/2016: Assailants opened fire on a military convoy in Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Three soldiers were killed and two others were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Additionally, a police official also suspected that Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) may have been involved in the attack.
