Incident Summary:

01/10/2017: Assailants opened fire on an Armed Forces of Myanmar patrol in Zayan, Shan, Myanmar. There were no reported casualties in the assault. This was one of two similar attacks in Shan on the same day. The Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) claimed responsibility and stated that the incidents were carried out in retaliation for recent operations against the TNLA.
