01/12/2017: Assailants fired four mortars at an Armed Forces of Myanmar outpost in Ho Chaung, Shan, Myanmar. The mortars missed the target and landed near civilians, killing two and injuring eight others. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected that the attack was carried out by the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), which denied involvement.
