Incident Summary:

01/18/2017: Five suicide bombers detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at a camp housing military and pro-government militia personnel in Gao, Mali. At least 82 people, including the five bombers, were killed and 115 people were injured in the blast. Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for Mali's collaboration with France.
