Incident Summary:

01/29/2017: Assailants fired mortars and rocket-propelled grenades targeting military positions near Avdiivka, Donetsk, Ukraine. In addition to an unknown number of assailant casualties, at least 19 people, including soldiers and civilians, were killed and 13 people were injured in the ensuing clashes that continued through February 1, 2017. The Donetsk People's Republic claimed responsibility for the incident.
