Incident Summary:

02/07/2017: Assailants abducted Gloria Cecilia Narvaez Argoti in Karangasso, Sikasso, Mali. The whereabouts of Argoti, a Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters nun from Colombia, are unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Macina Liberation Front (FLM). In addition, on July 1, 2017, Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) released a proof-of-life video showing the hostage.
