Incident Summary:
02/16/2017: Assailants opened fire on a Pakistani Police mobile van at Bahu Petrol Pump on Daraban Road near Mission Mor, Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. At least five people, including 4 police officers, were killed in the assault. The Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and the Halqa-e-Mehsudof factions of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent separately claimed responsibility for the attack.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
