Incident Summary:
02/21/2017: Assailants detonated an explosives-laden drone in Ninawa al-Sharqia neighborhood, Mosul, Nineveh, Iraq. This was one of eight similar attacks in the area on this date. At least seven people were killed across three of the blasts. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
There must be evidence of an intention to coerce, intimidate, or convey some other message to a larger audience (or audiences) than the immediate victims.
