Incident Summary:

03/02/2017: Assailants opened fire on the vehicle of Somchai Tongchan in Rueso, Narathiwat, Thailand. At least four people, including Tongchan, a local assistant village chief, and three other family members, were killed and two other people were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected that the attack was carried out by the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN). Sources also attributed the incident to Runda Kumpulan Kecil (RKK).
