Incident Summary:

03/09/2017: Assailants, including a suicide bomber, planting an explosive device were identified by Central Security Forces (CSF) officers in Arish, North Sinai, Egypt. The officers opened fire and killed one of the assailants. Following the clash, two police officers were killed and four others were injured after the aforementioned explosive device detonated as they attempted to defuse it. The Sinai Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
