Incident Summary:

03/13/2017: An assailant opened fire on Azem Vllasi in Pristina, Kosovo. Vllasi, a former communist leader, was injured in the attack. Murat Jashari, an Albanian extremist, claimed responsibility for the incident and accused the victim of harming and oppressing the youth during his tenure as a leader in the ruling League of Communists of Kosovo in the 1980s.
