Incident Summary:

04/24/2017: Assailants opened fire on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) patrol in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, India. At least 25 CRPF personnel and 10 assailants were killed and seven CRPF personnel were injured in the ensuing clash. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for the recent deaths of nine Maoists.
