05/05/2017: An explosive device detonated near the convoy of Brigadier General Kawa Tawfiq in Zarkah, Saladin, Iraq. At least one Peshmerga captain was killed and two other people, including Tawfiq, a Peshmerga comander, and a guard, were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
