Incident Summary:

05/06/2017: Assailants opened fire on Indian Police Service (IPS) officers along Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Mir Bazar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. At least six people, including one officer, four civilians, and one assailant, were killed and three other people, including two civilians and one assailant, were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
