Incident Summary:

05/08/2017: Assailants opened fire on Congolese Army soldiers in Kitshanga, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least three people, including two soldiers, were killed and four other people, including one soldier, were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Nyatura Militia and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR).
