Incident Summary:

05/16/2017: Assailants attacked a military camp in Bamangana, Haut-Uele, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least two people, including one soldier and one Mbororo herder, were killed and 19 civilians were abducted in the assault. Seven hostages were released later the same day, while the fate of the remaining 12 hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).
