06/25/2017: Assailants opened fire on a police checkpoint near the Salma Dam in Chishti Sharif, Herat, Afghanistan. At least four assailants and 10 police officers were killed and four officers were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
