06/25/2017: An explosive device detonated at a Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) election rally in Sunwal, Province 5, Nepal. At least seven people were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, police officials suspected that the Communist Party of Nepal - Maoist (CPN-Maoist-Chand) may have carried out the attack.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
