07/01/2017: Assailants, including suicide bombers driving explosives-laden vehicles, attacked Iraqi Army soldiers and Iraqi Volunteer Forces members in As Sakran, Al Anbar, Iraq. At least 20 assailants were killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
