Incident Summary:

07/01/2017: Assailants attacked a military convoy in Shirin Tagab, Faryab, Afghanistan. Seven people, including security personnel, assailants, and civilians, were killed, and unknown number of people were injured in the assault. In addition, a soldier was abducted during the ensuing clash; the soldier's whereabouts are unknown. This was one of two related attacks on the convoy on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
