Incident Summary:

07/06/2017: Assailants armed with pipes and firearms stormed the National Assembly Parliament building in Caracas, Capital, Venezuela. At least 322 people, including 94 opposition parliament members, 108 journalists, and 120 workers, were held hostage in the nine-hour long siege. At least 20 people were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to government supporters.
