07/16/2017: Assailants abducted Tayyip Fidan, a shepherd, in Aslanbasar, Sirnak, Turkey. Fidan was killed and his body was discovered the following day on July 17, 2017. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
