07/26/2017: Assailants attacked a military base in Khakrez, Kandahar, Afghanistan. At least 26 soldiers were killed, 13 were injured and at least seven were abducted in the attack. The whereabouts of the hostages are unknown. Additionally, 80 assailants were either killed or injured. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
