07/31/2017: A fire was set in a restroom in the Maldives Parliament building in Male, Maldives. There were no reported casualties and the restroom sustained minor damage in the fire. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, opposition lawmakers alleged that the fire was an arson that was intended to cancel a Parliamentary sitting.
