Incident Summary:

08/07/2017: Assailants opened fire on Makala Prison in Lubudi neighborhood, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least 13 people, including one police officer and 12 assailants, were killed and an unknown number of other people were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Bunda Dia Kongo (BDK).
