08/14/2017: Assailants abducted two people, including activist Hisham al-Omeisy and US embassy worker Usamah al-Ansi in Sanaa, Amanat Al Asimah, Yemen. Al-Omeisy was released on January 10, 2018 and al-Ansi was released on February 18, 2018. Houthi extremists claimed responsibility for the attack.
