08/24/2017: Assailants abducted Muzaffar Natta from Hajan, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Natta was beheaded and his body was discovered on August 27, 2017. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which denied involvement.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
