09/09/2017: Assailants raided the residence of businessperson Mehmet Salih Arslan in Kemerli, Siirt, Turkey. Arslan was killed and his son was kidnapped in the attack. The hostage was released a short time later after local residents intervened. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
