09/00/2017: Sometime between September 1, 2017 and September 30, 2017, an assailant posing as a patient stabbed a Coptic Christian doctor in Cairo, Egypt. The doctor was killed and an assistant was injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, authorities attributed the attack to a member of the Islamic State in Egypt.
