Incident Summary:
10/09/2017: Assailants opened fire on a Tanzanian United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) base in Mamundioma, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. This was one of two coordinated attacks targeting peacekeeping bases in Mamundioma on the same day. At least two Tanzanian peacekeepers were killed and 12 other peacekeepers were injured across both ensuing clashes. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incidents to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
