Incident Summary:
10/13/2017: Assailants opened fire on a Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) headquarters in Taza Khurmatu, Kirkuk, Iraq. There were no reported casualties. This was one of two similar attacks targeting Kurdish political party headquarters in Taza Khurmatu on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Kurdish militants.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
