10/21/2017: Assailants abducted former village chief Hadji Bohong from Basilan, Philippines. The body of the hostage was found on October 22, 2017 in Sumisip. No group claimed responsibility for the attack; however, sources attributed the attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
