10/24/2017: Assailants attacked a military base in Sasawa, Damaturu, Yobe, Nigeria. At least nine people, including soldiers and civilians, were killed and five civilians were injured in the attack. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the incident.
