Incident Summary:

11/17/2017: Two assailants opened fire on a police checkpoint in Zakura, Jammu and Kashmir, India. At least two people, including one police officer and one assailant, were killed and another officer was injured in the ensuing clash. Tehrik al-Mojahedin claimed responsibility for the incident. The Khorasan Chapter of the Islamic State separately claimed responsibility; however, authorities questioned the veracity of this claim. In addition, sources suspected that Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind carried out the attack.
