Incident Summary:

11/22/2017: Assailants attacked military positions in Leer, Southern Liech, South Sudan. At least one soldier and 16 assailants were killed in the ensuing clashes. This was one of two coordinated attacks in Liech on the same day. Seven soldiers were injured across both attacks. The Sudan People's Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
