Incident Summary:

12/02/2017: Assailants abducted two Peshmerga soldiers in northeastern Diyala, Iraq. Both hostages were killed and their bodies were discovered in Qarah Tapah the following day, on December 3, 2017. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
