Incident Summary:

12/07/2017: Assailants opened fire on a United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) base along the Semuliki River near Kamango, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least 20 people, including 15 Tanzanian peacekeepers and five Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) soldiers, were killed and 50 other people were injured in the assault. It is unknown whether there were any assailant casualties. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
