Incident Summary:

12/09/2017: Assailants fired an M-203 from a grenade rifle at a Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB) post in Nuro, Upi, Maguindanao, Philippines. At least one officer was injured in the blast. This was one of three attacks in Upi overnight. The Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM) claimed responsibility for the incidents; although authorities questioned the veracity of this claim. Sources also suspected that the attacks were carried out by the New People's Army (NPA).
