Incident Summary:

12/18/2017: Assailants abducted Bashir Mohamed Yussuf from his residence in Barawe, Lower Shebelle, Somalia. Yussuf, a tribal elder, was shot and killed shortly after the kidnapping. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.
