12/20/2017: Assailants threw a grenade at a military checkpoint in Tamontaka, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao, Philippines. There were no reported casualties. This was one of two attacks targeting checkpoints in Tamontaka on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM).
