Incident Summary:

12/26/2017: Assailants opened fire on a Royal Thai Rangers vehicle along Dahong-Bilo Road in Choeng Khiri subdistrict, Narathiwat, Thailand. At least one soldier was killed and four other people, including three soldiers and one civilian, were injured in the assault. This was one of two attacks targeting Royal Thai Rangers soldiers in Choeng Khiri on the same day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected that the incident was carried out by separatists.
