Incident Summary:

12/28/2017: Assailants attacked an Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) barracks in Kasindi, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least seven people, including six assailants and one soldier, were killed and three people were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Mayi Mayi.
