12/31/2017: An explosives-laden motorcycle detonated targeting a funeral for a former governor in Jalalabad, Nangarhar, Afghanistan. At least 18 people were killed and 14 others were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that the Khorasan Chapter of the Islamic State may have been behind the attack.
