01/04/2018: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vest targeting a gathering of protesters and police officers in the 9th police district of Kabul, Afghanistan. In addition to the assailant, 20 people were killed and 27 others were injured in the blast. The Khorasan Chapter of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident; however, citizens doubted the veracity of the claim.
