Incident Summary:

01/06/2018: Assailants attacked the Russian Air Force Hmeymim Airbase with 10 explosives-laden drones near Jableh, Lattakia, Syria. There were no reported casualties in the blasts. This was one of two related incidents targeting Russian bases in Syria on the same day. The Free Alawite Movement claimed responsibility for the attacks and demanded that Russian military personnel withdraw from Syria. Sources also attributed the incidents to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, and Ahrar al-Sham.
