Incident Summary:

01/18/2018: Assailants opened fire on the convoy of General Philemon Yav in Fizi, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least one soldier was killed and three more were injured. No group claimed responsibility for the incident however, sources attributed the attack to the Mai Mai Yakutumba Militia.
