03/22/2018: Assailants abducted Marjorie Abdul from her office at Liang Elementary School in Liang, Patikul, Sulu, Philippines. Abdul, the principal at the school, was released 12 hours later following a ransom payment. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
